Android XR glasses are Google’s answer to Ray-Ban Meta: everyday-looking frames with cameras, microphones and speakers, using Gemini on a paired phone for directions, message summaries, translation and photos. Samsung is building the first ones with Google, in frames designed by Warby Parker and Gentle Monster. At I/O on 19 May 2026 Google said audio glasses would launch first, ‘later this fall’, and would pair with both Android phones and iPhones. Display glasses, which show information in the lens, were left without a date. Samsung showed both frame styles at Galaxy Unpacked in London on 22 July 2026 but gave no price, date or list of countries. On 1 October 2026 the Korea Herald, citing a Samsung official, reported a November launch; Samsung has not announced that itself. On 30 October SammyFans, citing unattributed information, reported mid-December sales in South Korea and the US only, with the UK left out of the first phase. That is a rumour, but it is the only report so far that mentions the UK at all. Samsung has told Korean press the price will be reasonable but in the premium range, which narrows nothing down. The London unveiling suggests UK interest, but nothing confirms a UK launch this year. For UK buyers the obvious comparison is Ray-Ban Meta, already on sale here. Until Samsung or Google publish UK pricing, treat any date as provisional and any price you see as speculation.
