The quietest arrival in trade AI is inside software firms already pay for. Rather than launching new apps, the job-management platforms used by UK plumbers, electricians and builders are adding AI to quoting, invoicing and admin. Tradify’s UK site lists SmartWrite, which drafts line-item descriptions and tidies spelling and tone on quotes and invoices, and SmartRead for Bills, which pulls costs from photographed supplier invoices. Both are on the Plus plan at £44 per user per month, with Lite and Pro at £34 and £37 without them. Fergus describes Fergus Assistant for the office, a Go Assistant that takes voice or text updates on site, and Fergus AI for admin from enquiry to invoice; its UK pricing page lists Essentials at £39 and Professional at £45 a month but does not say which plans include the AI. Jobber’s AI Receptionist, which answers calls and texts and books work, is listed as available to UK users. ServiceM8 offers an AI Phone Agent on its higher phone plans, but does not state UK availability. None of these price a job unaided; they cut paperwork time. Before upgrading, check which tier unlocks the AI and whether the price shown includes VAT.
